Jamesy

Born and raised in New York City, James Thongkrieng aka Jamesy grew up immersed in a melting pot of music and culture. Consuming heavy doses of Sade, Toni Braxton, and Babyface as a child via his father’s massive vinyl collection, as well as being exposed to the sounds of the grittiness of 90’s hip-hop in his teens, in addition to the tropical edginess of dancehall and reggaeton later on, as well as the diverse and colorful world of house and club music, it’s clear that a DJ set from Jamesy will touch on many different worlds, tying them together in a seamless fashion. Marc Montoya

“CONNOISSEUR OF DEEP, INFECTIOUS DANCE GROOVES WITH A FEEL-GOOD ATMOSPHERE.”
That’s how Marc Montoya describes himself as a DJ. Never afraid to go to take on risks to bend genres, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey raised in Long Beach, California, Marc has always had a passion for music. Marc began Dj’ing at the age of 16 at local house parties and school functions.  Having grown up on his older cousins eclectic combination of funk, pop, synth-infused 80s… all which became infused with his own love for both hip-hop and video game tunes, Marc ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influences. Today, this translates into his sets where he picks apart and blends together all the pieces of this music that he loves best: beautiful synth work, essential slapping drums , brooding basslines, and occasional vocal hooks… all on top of a pronounced foot-shuffling two step beat.

A very active individual of his current home of New York City, Marc is no stranger to the music scene. Though he loves playing in bars and nightclubs and special events, his love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes. As a former producer, pianist, and promoter, he has found plenty of ways to express himself musically. Marc has successfully attempted to take what he has learned thus far, and create his own niche in the entertainment world that sets him apart from others.

Chi Duly

You can catch Chi Duly as a resident in the New York City venues Mr Purple and VNYL, as well as at go-to hotspots in Portland, Oregon, like Tube and District. But he was fascinated with remixing bodies of work years before the celebrity endorsements. (See: The Weeknd’s rave review on “Balloons of Haus.”) This fixation would inevitably lay the groundwork for a music career tracing back to the summer of 2010, when he released his first viral smash, October’s Very Cold. It stormed Twitter, capturing hearts on college campuses everywhere and, in a rare feat, struck No. 1 on Hype Machine — three times in a single month. In the years since, he’s released several more critically acclaimed projects. When it comes to live DJ sets, Chi Duly’s open-format mixing captivates a crowd. Whether he’s spinning a high-energy club, a relaxed lounge or a fashion show, he taps into his audience’s deepest desires with ease.
